1. Over production of the products and cannot be loaded in the container. 

     The clients usually order more than one model in the container. The manufactures calculate the volume per item and directly container volume divided by the volume per item.   What they cannot approximate exactly is how the items will be loaded in the container. And it appears a volume difference. It’s better to sell them cheaper than normal price to gain good cash flow.

2. The overstock production will take places in the warehouse. And place for overstock production is a cost. It’s better for them to make goods flow out of the warehouse; therefore cheap rattan garden furniture can be gotten in the market.

3. Promotion item. 

This is one of the marketing strategies of the manufacture to gain new customer. It’s not easy to pull out new buyer and be known in the market. The promotion items normally are good running product and the manufacture tries to get the buyer attention that they can produce those items also with good quality and in low price.

4. The manufacture is heading bad buyers. 

The most case that happen is the bad buyers pay with fictive Letter of Credit (L/C). I have to agree that L/C is the most save payment term in export import business, but there are still bad people who are misusing this payment term. The manufactures has produced all the items and they have done good investigation before the shipment that the buyers have paid with fake L/C. As usual, the rattan garden furniture manufacture wants to keep good cash flow for the factory, it’s better to sell the items cheaper than just taking many places in the warehouse.

5. The rattan garden furniture manufactures are trying to produce new models every month and they want to test market also whether their buyers can accepted the new models in the market or not. 

If the models cannot be accepted by their buyers (it depends on the main market of each manufacture), again the manufacture will offer those items in very good price. For your information, the not good running models are different in each country. Therefore you should not judge directly that those models are also bad in your country.
